30th Celebration · Houston, Texas
An Intimate Luxury 30th in Houston
Black linen, matte black stoneware and gold chairs set the scene for an intimate 30th celebration in Houston. Candlelight, rich red and terracotta florals and a dessert table made for lingering gave forty guests an evening that felt both luxurious and personal.
The Table
Candlelight and gold
Black taper candles on slim gold stands ran the length of the tables, set against black linen, matte black plates, burgundy napkins and gold flatware. Gold chairs with white seats kept the room glamorous, while small gold bud vases of red ranunculus added a quiet detail at each place.

The Florals
Red, blush and terracotta
Deep red roses, blush and terracotta blooms and trailing greenery filled low centrepieces and tall gold pedestals around the room.

The Portrait Station
A velvet backdrop for the moment
A black velvet sofa framed by cascading red and blush roses and greenery gave guests a rich, ready made backdrop for their portraits.

The Dessert Table
A sweet finish
A black glitter heart cake took centre stage, surrounded by blush cake pops, raspberry tarts, macarons, iced cookies, dessert shooters and a crystal cupcake stand, all against a deep navy wall.

The Bar and the Music
Toasts and a live sax
A white bar cart held champagne flutes tied with black ribbon, ready for the first toast. A saxophone beside the DJ booth gave the night its sound.

The Menu
Served with style
We consulted on the menu, and the chefs of Spice Boyz Ent brought it to life. Guests began with sambusa stuffed with roasted leg of lamb and potato, served with shito aioli, and jollof style arancini stuffed with shrimp. The main was a peppersoup short rib, slow braised in traditional pepper soup and served with white rice and golden fried sweet plantain. Dessert was an assortment from the dessert table, with red, white and rose wine, sparkling and still water, and juices to drink.
